John I, Duke of Bavaria
John I, Duke of Bavaria (29 November 1329 – 20 December 1340) was a member of the House of Wittelsbach. He became Duke of Lower Bavaria in 1339 while still a minor. He was the son of Henry XIV, Duke of Lower Bavaria, and Margaret of Bohemia, and he married Anna of Bavaria, daughter of Louis IV. John I died in Landshut in 1340 at age 11. After his death, the duchy of Lower Bavaria passed to Louis IV, who reunited Bavaria in January 1341. His mother Margaret, a member of the Luxembourg dynasty, had to return to Bohemia.
