John Abraham is an Indian actor, producer, and former model who has acted in more than 50 films. He began his acting career in 2003 with Jism, which did well at the box office, and also appeared in Saaya and Paap that year. He played Kabir in Dhoom, an action film by Sanjay Gadhvi produced by Yash Raj Films. Dhoom was a big hit and earned him a Filmfare nomination for Best Performance in a Negative Role. In 2008 he starred in Dostana with Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra; it was a major success, grossing over ₹871 million. His filmography includes many action films such as Dhoom (2004), Karam (2005), Viruddh (2005), Race 2 (2013), Shootout at Wadala (2013), Zinda (2006), Satyameva Jayate (2018), Mumbai Saga (2021) and Pathaan (2023), as well as Jism (2003), Aetbaar (2004), New York (2009), 7 Khoon Maaf (2011) and Tariq (2026).
