Jardin botanique de la Bastide

Jardin botanique de la Bastide is a 4-hectare municipal botanical garden in Bordeaux, France. It lies on the right bank of the Garonne along the Allée Jean Giono, in Gironde, Aquitaine. The garden is open every day and free to visit. Opened in 2003 as a branch of the older Jardin botanique de Bordeaux, it is organized into six sections: an arboretum, fields of grain, an alley of vines, and a water garden of about 1,250 square meters. It also has greenhouses and eleven landscapes that show Aquitaine’s environments, such as dunes, cliffs, wet grasslands, and moorlands.
