Édgar Ospina
Édgar de Jesús Ospina Echeverri, born 12 January 1956 in Cartago, Colombia, is a football manager. In the 1980s he worked as a fitness coach for several Colombian clubs and, in 1995, moved to Peru to coach youth at Alianza Lima. His first senior job came in 1997 with Bella Esperanza, who finished second in the league’s second division. He later managed Alianza Lima (1998–1999) and had spells at Atlético Bucaramanga and LDU Quito in 2000.
Back in Peru, he led Cienciano in 2003, then Grau-Estudiantes and Deportivo Wanka in 2004 (both relegated). After a brief period with Aris Limassol in 2005, he headed América Cochahuayco in 2006. In 2007 he took charge of Universitario de Deportes (initially interim, then permanent) but left in July, finishing the year with Total Clean. In 2008 he managed Deportivo Pereira, then Trujillanos in Venezuela, before returning to Peru with Inti Gas and guiding them to the top division, nearing continental qualification in 2009.
He returned to Cienciano in 2010, then rejoined Inti Gas (2010–2012). He later led León de Huánuco (2012–2013) and Unión Comercio (2013). After a break from coaching, he returned to Inti Gas (renamed Ayacucho) for 2015–2016 and then again to Ayacucho in 2022, with the team listed through 2025.
