Joan Adam (born April 4, 1944) is an American politician, attorney, and advocate for historic preservation. A Democrat, she served five terms in the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 48th district in Atchison from 1983 to 1992. She was elected in 1982 and left office after her fifth term; Jerry Henry succeeded her in 1993. During her time in the Legislature, Adam authored the Kansas Heritage Trust Fund. She lives in Overland Park, Kansas, and serves on the board of Historic Kansas City, where she has also served as president.
