Jing Xiao

Jing Xiao is a robotics professor and the head of Worcester Polytechnic Institute's Department of Robotics Engineering. She directs the Adaptive and Intelligent Robotics Lab and leads WPI's ROSE-HUB. In 2013, she was named a Fellow of the IEEE for her work on robot compliant motion and haptic interaction. Earlier in her career, she taught computer science at UNC Charlotte and served as Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies and as the PhD Program Director for Computing and Information Systems there.
