1996–97 Marquette Golden Eagles men's basketball team
The 1996–97 Marquette Golden Eagles men's basketball team represented Marquette University during the 1996–97 season. They played in Conference USA and finished with a 22–9 overall record, 9–5 in conference play. Led by head coach Mike Deane in his third year, they played home games at the Bradley Center. The team won the Conference USA tournament and earned a spot in the NCAA tournament, but lost in the first round to Providence, 59–81.
