Jason Hale (born June 15, 1969) is a former Canadian politician who served as the member of the Alberta Legislative Assembly for Strathmore-Brooks from 2012 to 2015. He was born near Bassano, Alberta, and lives there with his wife and two sons, running a cow/calf ranch. Before politics, he worked as an oil and gas consultant and earned a diploma in chemical technology from SAIT.

Hale has deep community ties. He was a professional bullfighter for 10 years, served on the Bassano Rodeo committee for eight years, and was a director of the Bassano Ag Society for three years. He also coached hockey and baseball.

He was elected in 2012 as a Wildrose MLA. In December 2012, he crossed the floor to join Jim Prentice’s Progressive Conservative Party. In 2015, Hale announced he would not seek re-election after another candidate, Derek Fildebrandt, said he would seek the Wildrose nomination in Strathmore-Brooks.

As an MLA, Hale led Wildrose efforts on local issues, including the XL Foods plant shutdown in Brooks and its takeover by JBS, calling for a full investigation. In May 2013, he and Kerry Towle organized a press conference with Brooks residents to raise concerns about conditions at AgeCare facilities, which helped prompt a health minister-ordered investigation into alleged senior mistreatment.
