Jasmina Palurović
Jasmina Palurović (born 5 June 1972) is a Serbian politician from the Serbian Progressive Party. She has been the mayor of Kruševac since 2017 and briefly served in the National Assembly in August 2020. She studied at the technical faculty of the University of Kragujevac in Čačak and worked in production before entering politics.
Her political career began in Kruševac’s municipal assembly, where she was elected in 2012. She became deputy mayor in 2014 and served for two years. In 2016 she was moved to the third position on her party’s list and was re-elected as the party won a large majority. She was the president of the city assembly from 2016 to 2017. On 25 December 2017 she was elected Kruševac’s mayor after the previous mayor died. She led the party in the 2020 local elections and was re-elected as mayor. After the election she opened a statue of Stefan Lazarević, a medieval Serbian ruler from Kruševac, and began another term as mayor on 18 August 2020. In the 2020 national parliamentary election she was 44th on the party list and won a seat, but she resigned from the assembly on 20 August 2020 because she could not hold both roles at once.
