Jan Sładkowski (born 1958 in Świętochłowice, Poland) is a Polish physicist. He is known for his work on quantum game theory, exotic smoothness in cosmology, and applying thermodynamics to finance. He earned his PhD under Marek Zrałek and his habilitation in theoretical physics from the University of Silesia in Katowice. He has published papers on quantum field theory, mathematical physics, quantum information processing, and econophysics. He has held visiting positions at Bielefeld University and the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He currently chairs the Department of Astrophysics and Cosmology at the University of Silesia. He was a Humboldt fellow in 1999.
