Finest Kind is a three-member folk music group from Ottawa, Canada. The members are Ian Robb, Ann Downey, and Shelley Posen. They are known for singing traditional folk songs in three-part harmony. The group formed in the early 1990s and has released six albums, including Heart's Delight (1999) and Silks & Spices (2004). They also made a Christmas album with Canadian actor John D. Huston. Each member has solo work and plays with other bands. Finest Kind has performed across North America and the United Kingdom for folk groups, communities, and festivals, including the Ottawa Folk Festival. In 2014 they performed at the Canadian Folk Music Awards gala in Ottawa. They stopped touring in 2015 but continue to perform an annual Christmas concert and other shows in the Ottawa area.
