Richard Goddard (born 28 April 1974) is a former English rugby league player who played as a centre in the 1990s and 2000s. He played for Wakefield Trinity (1990–1994), Castleford Tigers (1994–1997), Hunslet (1998), York Wasps (1999), and Sheffield Eagles (2000–2004).

Goddard became Wakefield Trinity’s youngest ever debutant, at 16 years, 3 months, and 29 days, in 1990. He came on as a substitute in Wakefield’s 29–16 win over Sheffield Eagles in the 1992–93 Yorkshire Cup Final.

In 1994 he moved to Castleford for a tribunal-set transfer fee of £75,000. He earned one cap for England in 1995, playing against France while with Castleford, and was listed in England’s 40-man training squad for the 1995 Rugby League World Cup, though he did not make the final squad.
