Jamsillaru Station is an aboveground stop on Seoul Subway Line 2, located in Sincheon-dong, Songpa District, Seoul, South Korea. It is operated by Seoul Metro and opened on October 31, 1980. The station’s former name was Seongnae, which was changed to Jamsillaru to avoid confusion with Songnae Station. The name Jamsillaru means “in the fortress,” a reference to nearby ancient earthen walls like Mongchon and Pungnap. It is the closest subway station to Asan Medical Center. Jamsillaru has two platforms and two tracks. In 2012, about 36,600 passengers used the station daily.
