James Johnston Clark
James Johnston Clark (1809 – June 1891) was a Unionist politician in Ireland. He was born to Alexander and Margaret Clark of Maghera. After his father died in 1842, he inherited Largantogher House in Maghera, County Londonderry. He served as High Sheriff of County Londonderry in 1849. Clark was the Unionist Member of Parliament for County Londonderry from 9 March 1857 to 1859. He was a member of the Carlton Club in London. He married Frances Hall of Merton Hall, County Tipperary. Their son, Sir William Ovens Clark, became Chief Justice of the Punjab Chief Court. His grandson was James Lenox-Conyngham Chichester-Clark, and his great-grandson was Lord Moyola, Prime Minister of Northern Ireland. He was the father-in-law of John Kells Ingram.
