Jam, Iran
Jam is a city in Bushehr Province, Iran. It’s the capital of Jam County and also the administrative center of the Central District and Jam Rural District.

- Location: Jam sits in southwest Iran, at about 27.8211°N, 52.3306°E.
- Established as a city: 1996 (formerly the village of Velayat); renamed Jam in 1999.

- 2006: 10,809 people in 2,734 households
- 2011: 16,313 people in 4,632 households
- 2016: 31,436 people in 9,356 households
Neighborhoods
- Jam grew from several former villages: Khvajeh Ahmadi, Malecheh, Qaleh-ye Kohneh, and Velayat.
Climate
- Jam has a hot, dry climate with very hot summers (mean highs around 40°C in summer).
- Winters are mild and wetter; most rain falls in winter (January, February, December).
- The city gets about 3,400 hours of sunshine per year.
- Average annual rainfall is around 397 mm (about 15.6 inches).
Sports
- The main football club is Pars Jonubi Jam, which has competed in Iran’s Azadegan League and is now in the Persian Gulf Pro League.
