Ohio State Route 107
Ohio State Route 107 (SR 107) is an 11.05-mile state highway in Williams County, Ohio. It runs from SR 49 near Edon in the west to US 20A and SR 15 near Montpelier in the east. The road is maintained by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). Most of SR 107 is a rural two-lane road, with a four-lane section through the Montpelier area that serves businesses and homes.
SR 107 crosses the St. Joseph River and passes through Montpelier, where it briefly overlaps with SR 576. After the concurrency ends, SR 107 continues east as a four-lane road through commercial areas, then becomes a two-lane rural highway again and ends at the junction with US 20A/SR 15 east of Montpelier. The entire route sits in Williams County and is not part of the National Highway System.
Traffic on SR 107 varies from about 1,260 vehicles per day at the western end to about 8,980 vehicles per day near the SR 576 overlap (based on 2008 data).
History: SR 107 was first signed in 1923 and originally extended north to the Michigan state line along what is now SR 49; its eastern end was at SR 66 east of West Unity. In 1925 the north–south section became SR 51. In 1932 US 20S replaced SR 107 east of Montpelier, and US 20S became US 20A in 1935. In 1964 US 20A was rerouted along SR 15, and SR 107 was extended east of Montpelier to SR 15. The entire route is in Williams County.
