Jake Paul defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. by unanimous decision in a 10-round cruiserweight bout at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, on June 28, 2025. The judges scored it 97-93, 98-92 and 99-91. Paul, nicknamed “The Problem Child,” is from Cleveland, Ohio, while Chavez Jr., from Culiacan, Mexico, is known as “La Leyenda Continua” (The Legend Continues) and is a former WBC middleweight champion. Before the fight, Paul was 11-1 (7 KOs) and Chavez Jr. was 54-6-1 (34 KOs). The bout aired on DAZN pay-per-view and drew attention as Paul’s biggest test against a former world champion.
