John Mark Lucas, known as Jack Lucas, was born on 8 April 1961. He is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the VFL and WAFL.

He started his senior football with Ariah Park Mirrool in the South Western District Football League. Lucas then joined the Sydney Swans in the VFL and played 19 games from 1982 to 1984, scoring no goals.

After leaving Sydney, he moved to Western Australia to play for Perth in the WAFL, where he played 40 games and kicked 18 goals from 1985 to 1987. In 1989 he played for Queanbeyan in the ACT Football League and helped the team win a premiership; Queanbeyan was coached by his uncle Brian Quade.

Back in Perth, Lucas coached junior football, including mentoring his son Kane Lucas, who would later be drafted by Carlton.
