Simpson Peninsula

Simpson Peninsula is a piece of land in the Gulf of Boothia, Nunavut, Canada. It is bordered by Pelly Bay to the west, the Gulf of Boothia to the north, and Committee Bay to the east. The Netsilik Inuit town of Kugaaruk lies on its western coast. The peninsula was explored by John Rae in 1847 and named after Sir George Simpson.
