Nurul Islam Moni is a Bangladeshi politician from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). He served as a member of parliament for Barguna-2 in three terms: first as an independent in 1988–1991, then again as an independent in 1991–1996, and later as a BNP candidate in 2001–2006.

In the 1991 election he won with 19,616 votes, while Golam Kabir of the Awami League had 13,764. In 2001 he won with 44,014 votes; his nearest rival was Md. Golam Sarowar Hiru of the Awami League with 24,772, and Anowar Hossain Monju of the Jatiya Party had 19,350.

He reportedly received a plot in Chittagong City from the BNP government.

On 4 November 2007, Barguna District Court sentenced him to 14 years in prison for a corruption case; his brother Saiful Islam Jamal was also sentenced. They surrendered to the Barguna court on 29 October 2008 and were sent to jail.

Moni sought and was nominated by the BNP for Barguna-2 in the 11th parliamentary election in 2018.

In September 2022, his motorcade was attacked by Awami League activists, injuring him and about 50 BNP supporters.
