Jack Lowe Jr. is an American business executive who led TDIndustries, a family business. He was born on May 20, 1939, in Bloomfield, New Jersey, and grew up in Dallas. He attended Highland Park High School and earned a magna cum laude degree in electrical engineering from Rice University. After two years in the U.S. Navy, he joined TDIndustries in 1964.

Early in his career, Lowe helped grow the company’s work in heating and cooling for apartment buildings. He oversaw the Tempo Air Conditioning group, created in 1967, and faced early challenges that taught him important lessons. He rose through the ranks: General Manager of Texas Distributors in 1971, General Manager of TDMechanical in 1976, and he helped Tempo become a division in 1978. Lowe became President and Chief Operating Officer in 1979.

When his father passed away in 1980, Lowe became CEO of TDIndustries, a position he held until 2005. He then served as chairman of the board, with Harold MacDowell succeeding him as CEO. Under his leadership, TDIndustries was known for its emphasis on servant leadership and a strong, empowering culture.

Lowe has been active in many civic and professional organizations. He served on numerous boards, including the Dallas Citizens Council, United Way, Dallas Zoological Society, and the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees (president starting in 2006). He has also been a director of Zales and Drew Industries. He has received many awards, including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2000) for Principle-centered Leadership, the J. Erik Jonsson Ethics Award (2005), and the Highland Park Distinguished Alumnus award (2007).
