Peter Thornton Kneeshaw AM is an Australian organist. He served as organist at Christ Church St Laurence from 1980 to 1988, then as Principal Organist of St Mary’s Cathedral, Sydney from 1988 to 2010. He has worked with leading Australian performers and groups, including the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs, The Song Company, and the Sydney Male Choir. He has accompanied many major performances and recordings, including Handel’s Messiah at the Sydney Town Hall each year. In 2006 he was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his service to music and the community as an organist, choirmaster, and adviser in organ design and restoration.
