Jabalpur Airport, also known as Dumna Airport, with IATA code JLR and ICAO code VAJB, is a domestic airport serving Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. It is located in Dumna, about 25 km east of the city, at an elevation of 495 meters. The airport is owned and operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and covers about 960 acres.

Runway and facilities
The airport operates a single asphalt runway, 06/24, measuring 2,750 meters (9,022 feet). The newly expanded runway makes Jabalpur one of the longest in the state. The terminal building, opened on 10 March 2024, cost about Rs 412 crore and can handle up to 800 passengers during peak hours. It has three aerobridges, 14 check-in desks, CCTV and X-ray security, and parking for more than 250 vehicles. Night landing facilities are available, and the airport is equipped with runway lighting.

History and significance
The airport was built during the British era and opened in the 1930s, originally known as Jubbulpore Aerodrome with a dirt runway. AAI expanded the site after acquiring additional land in 2015. The new terminal and runway upgrades enhance access to eastern Madhya Pradesh and the Mahakaushal region, making it a convenient gateway for visiting nearby national parks and attractions.

Jabalpur Airport serves travelers heading to Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary, Pench National Park, Bhedaghat, Dhuandhar Falls, Amarkantak, Panchmarhi, and Khajuraho, as well as the Veerangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve nearby.
