It's Goin' Down (album)
It's Goin' Down is the second studio album by American singer Ralph Tresvant. It was released on January 19, 1994, by MCA Records and runs 61 minutes and 12 seconds. Tresvant took a bigger hands-on role, writing and producing most of the songs himself, with three tracks written and produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Two singles were released from the album: "Who's the Mack" and "When I Need Somebody." The record received mixed reviews and sounded different from Tresvant's debut. Critics like AllMusic's Tim Griggs felt the self-produced tracks were weaker than the Jam & Lewis songs, suggesting Tresvant overextended himself. Overall, the album shows Tresvant trying to establish his own style, with mixed results.
