Juan Carlos Arana
Juan Carlos Arana Gómez (born 8 February 2000) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a forward for Racing de Santander, wearing number 9. Born in Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Arana came through many youth teams including Unión Viera, Acodetti, Las Palmas, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid, before returning to Unión Viera.
In 2017 he joined Villarreal’s system and played for CD Roda, Villarreal C and Villarreal B. He had a standout 2021-22 season with Villarreal B, scoring 16 goals as the team earned promotion to the Segunda División. He made his Villarreal B professional debut in August 2022, scoring in a 2–0 win over Racing de Santander.
In January 2023 he signed with SD Eibar in the second division, and in August 2023 was loaned to Racing de Santander for the 2023–24 season. Racing Santander bought him in May 2024 and he signed a three-year contract.
