Israel men's national lacrosse team
The Israel men’s national lacrosse team is governed by the Israel Lacrosse Association and competes in Europe under the ELF. The team made its World Lacrosse Championship debut in 2014 in Denver, finishing seventh. They also finished seventh at the 2018 World Championship in Netanya (which Israel hosted) and at the 2023 championship in San Diego. Israel’s World Championship eligibility began when the Israel Lacrosse Association was recognized by World Lacrosse in 2011.
In preparation for 2014, Israel held tryouts at Wingate Institute in Netanya and selected a 46-man roster of Israelis and Jewish players from around the world, many Americans, under World Lacrosse rules.
At the European Lacrosse Championships, Israel began competing in 2012 (finishing eighth) and won a silver medal in 2016. The team captured gold at the European Championships in 2025, defeating Italy in the final. Israel also won the European Box Lacrosse Championship in 2017, beating the Czech Republic 8–7 in Turku, Finland.
Israel hosted the 2018 World Lacrosse Championship in Netanya, and the 2025 European Championships were held in Wroclaw, Poland.
