Erythrotrichia welwitschii is a species of red algae in the genus Erythrotrichia. It is found along the South African coast, from the Cape of Good Hope and False Bay eastward to at least Port Elizabeth. The accepted scientific name is Erythrotrichia welwitschii (Ruprecht) Batters, 1902. Synonyms include Cruoria welwitschii Ruprecht, 1850.
