El Mosquetero Azul
El Mosquetero Azul (The Blue Musketeer) is a Spanish historical adventure comic booklet published by Editorial Bruguera in 1962 as part of its Superaventuras line. It ran 26 weekly issues from 18 June to 10 December 1962, forming one continuous story set in 1640 in northern Italy and the Adriatic region.
The main characters are the masked hero El Mosquetero Azul, the giant Gesaurus, and the comic sidekick Brutus. The artwork was by Manuel Gago García. The scripts were written by Silver Kane (Francisco González Ledesma) for issues 1–20, and Carlo Lotti from issue 21 onward. A comics critic, Pedro Porcel, noted the series shows a relatively careless style and suggested fatigue on Gago’s part toward the end.
