Isidro García Ayala, nicknamed "El Chino," was born on May 15, 1976, in Taxco de Alarcón, Mexico. He is a former professional boxer who fought from 1994 to 2010. He stood 1.70 m tall, had a reach of 182 cm, and fought as an orthodox boxer. His career record includes 34 fights, with 25 wins (8 by knockout), 7 losses, and 2 draws.

García won the WBO NABO flyweight title in May 1998 by defeating Everardo Morales and made four title defenses. On December 18, 1999, he won the WBO Flyweight title by defeating José López in a twelve-round match. López had been scheduled to fight Alejandro Montiel, who withdrew hours before the bout; García, who was watching, stepped in to fight and won, using borrowed equipment. He defended the WBO title successfully against José Rafael Sosa in Córdoba, Argentina.
