Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins is a 2008 American comedy directed by Malcolm D. Lee and starring Martin Lawrence, Nicole Ari Parker, Mo'Nique, Cedric the Entertainer, Louis C.K., and James Earl Jones. The film follows Roscoe "R.J." Stevens, a successful talk-show host who has tried to forget his Southern roots. He returns to his Georgia hometown for his parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, bringing his fiancée Bianca and his 10-year-old son Jamaal, hoping to show he’s grown up. But his plan falls apart as his family’s old rivalries and quirks lead to chaos and embarrassment. Through a weekend of pranks, arguments, and a big obstacle course, Roscoe learns he still needs his kin. He makes peace with his father, reconnects with his past love Lucinda, and ultimately chooses family over pride, despite Bianca ending the engagement. The film ends with Roscoe back among the Jenkins clan and starting a TV show about his family.

The movie was shot in Shreveport and Minden, Louisiana, and released on February 8, 2008, with a runtime of 118 minutes. Budget was about $27–35 million and it grossed around $43.6 million. Critics generally gave negative reviews, enjoying the cast's performances but criticizing the heavy slapstick. On Rotten Tomatoes it holds about 23% positive reviews; Metacritic score is 46/100. It was released on DVD in June 2008 in the US (and May 2008 in the UK).
