Journal of the Optical Society of America (JOSA)
JOSA is a long-running, peer‑reviewed journal about optics, published by Optica. It began in 1917 and in 1984 split into two parts: JOSA A and JOSA B.
- JOSA A: covers optics, vision, and image science.
- JOSA B: covers optical physics, including guided waves, laser spectroscopy, nonlinear optics, quantum optics, lasers, materials for optics, and ultrafast phenomena.
Editors-in-chief: JOSA A — Olga Korotkova (University of Miami); JOSA B — Kurt Busch (Humboldt University of Berlin).
Publication details: monthly journal with hybrid open access. (2024 impact factors: JOSA A 1.4; JOSA B 1.9.)
