Into the Cold: A Journey of the Soul is a 2010 American documentary directed, written, and produced by Sebastian Copeland. It stars Copeland and Keith Heger and follows their 2009 trek to the geographic North Pole to mark the 100th anniversary of Admiral Peary’s 1909 expedition. The film shows their two months of training and a walking journey of more than 400 miles in extreme cold. It also conveys a message: there likely won’t be another North Pole expedition on a similar scale anytime soon because the polar ice is melting.

The movie premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2010 and went on to screen at several festivals, including the Environmental Film Fest, the Victoria Film Fest, and the Blue Planet Film Fest in 2011. At Indie Spirit Film Festival 2010, it won the Audience Award for Best Sports/Adventure Film. It also earned Best Director and second place for Documentary Feature at the Los Angeles Reel Film Festival in 2009. The film is in English and from the United States.
