Misa Shimizu
Misa Shimizu (born September 25, 1970 in Tanashi, Tokyo) is a Japanese actress. She began her screen career in 1987 after winning a heroine audition for the film Shonan Bosozoku. In 1989 she starred in NHK's morning drama Seishun Kazoku. She played Keiko, the lead, in The Eel, Shohei Imamura’s Palme d'Or–winning film. She regularly appears in Masayuki Suo’s movies. She won Best Actress at the 17th Hochi Film Award for her work in Okoge, Sumo Do, Sumo Don't, and Future Memories: Last Christmas.
