Internet Miniature Pinscher Service
Internet Miniature Pinscher Service (IMPS) is a non-profit dog rescue in the United States. It was founded on July 1, 1998, by Petie Hoving Durand. The group focuses on rescuing, fostering, and rehoming Miniature Pinschers, a small breed from Germany. IMPS operates in the United States and Canada and is the largest single-breed rescue service in America. To date, it has rescued over 20,000 dogs and has about 500 volunteers across the U.S. and Canada.
IMPS provides foster care, transport, veterinary care, and help finding adoptive homes. It also runs microchipping and neutering programs to reduce unwanted litters and euthanasia. All dogs placed through IMPS are spayed or neutered before adoption and are evaluated for temperament and training by a breed representative.
