Inland Township is a civil township in Benzie County, Michigan. It sits in the eastern part of the county and borders Grand Traverse County. The Platte River flows through the northern part of the township.

History: The township was created as North Climax Township in April 1867 by the Grand Traverse County board while Benzie County was still administratively attached to Grand Traverse. It was renamed Inland in 1869.

Geography: The area covers 36.2 square miles in total, with 35.8 square miles of land and 0.42 square miles of water. The elevation is about 869 feet.

Population: The 2020 census recorded 2,386 people, with a density of about 58 people per square mile.

Demographics (approximate): In 2000, there were 1,587 residents, 620 households, and 437 families. The community was predominantly White. Median household income was around $38,125, and the per capita income was about $15,935. About 7.8% of the population were below the poverty line.
