Indoreonectes is a genus of stone loaches, small freshwater fish native to the Western Ghats in India. It belongs to the family Nemacheilidae. Classification: Kingdom Animalia; Phylum Chordata; Class Actinopterygii; Order Cypriniformes; Family Nemacheilidae; Genus Indoreonectes (described by Rita & Nalbant in 1978). The type species is Oreonectes (Indoreonectes) keralensis. A known species is Indoreonectes evezardi, which has cave-adapted populations.
