José Antonio Cruz Oliva

José Antonio Cruz Oliva is a Honduran sociologist who earned a PhD in sociology from the University of the Basque Country. In the 1970s, he was a leader of the Movement for Socialism (MAS), a left‑wing faction within the Christian Democratic Party of Honduras. In the 2013 general election, he ran for parliament in Francisco Morazán with the Democratic Unification Party (UD) and received 6,218 votes.
