Incurvaria alniella
Incurvaria alniella is a small moth in the family Incurvariidae. It lives in Japan, on the islands of Honshu and Kyushu. The wingspan is about 16–19.5 mm in males and 14–20 mm in females. The larvae feed on the tree Alnus japonica. They create an elliptical case made from two pieces of the same size, and they develop inside this case. Pupation happens inside the case in spring. Scientific name: Incurvaria alniella (Issiki, 1957). It has also been called Lampronia alniella.
