Caustis recurvata
Caustis recurvata, commonly known as curly sedge or pubic hair sedge, is a grass-like plant native to Australia. It is a perennial with rhizomes that forms spreading tufts about 1.2 metres across. The plant has erect, smooth stems that are rough to the touch, about 1.5–7 cm long and 1–5 mm in diameter.
It was first described by the botanist Sprengel in 1827. Synonyms include Restio uncinatus and Caustis uncinata.
Caustis recurvata grows in coastal sandy heath and mountain heath, mainly along the eastern coast from southeastern New South Wales up to southeastern Queensland.
