In Hayti
In Hayti is a three-act musical with music by Jean Schwartz, lyrics by William Jerome, and a book by John J. McNally. It opened at Broadway's Circle Theatre on August 30, 1909, and ran for 56 performances before closing on October 16, 1909. Produced by Klaw and Erlanger, it was directed by A. H. Holbrook and choreographed by Julian Alfred. The show starred vaudeville and minstrel performers James McIntyre and Thomas Heath, and was their second Schwartz–Jerome collaboration for the duo, following The Ham Tree (1905). The plot follows Colonel Scott as he tries to control the chicken market in Hayti amid a revolution.
