Imagine TV was a Hindi general entertainment channel in India, owned by Turner Broadcasting System (Time Warner). It started on 21 January 2008 as NDTV Imagine, created by NDTV Group led by Sameer Nair. NBCUniversal originally partnered with NDTV, but left the venture in October 2009. In December 2009, NyooTV began distributing NDTV Imagine’s shows online and on mobile.

On 8 December 2009, Turner Asia Pacific Ventures bought a 92% stake in NDTV Imagine Ltd. for about $67 million (NDTV’s stake was sold) plus $50 million in fresh Turner equity. After the deal, NDTV Imagine Ltd ran NDTV Imagine, NDTV Lumiere, and NDTV Imagine Showbiz. The NDTV brand was dropped and the channels were renamed Imagine TV, Lumiere Movies, and Imagine Showbiz. Imagine Showbiz was sold to Reliance Broadcast Network in January 2011.

Imagine TV struggled with ratings and growth. Turner decided to shut it down. The closure was announced on 12 April 2012 and the channel stopped transmissions by 12 May 2012, with reruns and online content ending soon after.

Internationally, the Middle East feed closed on 30 May 2012 and was replaced by Imagine Movies. In the UK and Ireland, the feed was rebranded as Imagine Dil Se in November 2010 due to copyright issues, and the Sky platform later carried a different channel, Rishtey. The UK version, broadcast on Sky, was free-to-air and at times topped ratings among Asian channels.

In the United States, Imagine appeared on Dish Network from February 2009. It was also free-to-air on Nilesat in the Middle East. Canada launched in November 2009 with Ethnic Channels Group and was available on Bell Satellite TV, later rebranding as Imagine Dil Se in early 2011. The channel also aired in parts of the Asia-Pacific region, including Fiji, Australia, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
