Gmina Tyczyn is an urban-rural municipality in Rzeszów County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland. Its seat is the town of Tyczyn, located about 8 km south of the regional capital, Rzeszów. The gmina includes the town of Tyczyn and the villages of Borek Stary, Hermanowa, and Kielnarowa. It has about 16,300 inhabitants (as of 2006), with around 3,300 in the town and 13,000 in the rural areas. Gmina Tyczyn borders the gminas of Błażowa, Boguchwała, Chmielnik, Hyżne, and Lubenia.
