"I'll Be Your Baby Tonight" is a song written and sung by Bob Dylan. It was released in 1967 on his album John Wesley Harding. The recording features Pete Drake on pedal steel guitar, with Nashville players Charlie McCoy on bass and Kenneth Buttrey on drums. It was recorded on November 29, 1967, at Columbia Studio A in Nashville and produced by Bob Johnston. The track runs about 2 minutes and 34 seconds.

Dylan first performed the song live at the Isle of Wight Festival on August 31, 1969, with the Band, and he has played it in many concerts since then.

The song has been covered by other artists, most notably by Robert Palmer with UB40 in 1990. This cover was released as a single from Palmer’s album Don’t Explain and also appeared on his 1995 best-of collection The Very Best of. It became a hit in several countries, reaching the top 10 in Australia, Austria, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, and placing number 6 in the United Kingdom and Ireland. In New Zealand it reached number 1 for a week in February 1991. Music Week’s David Giles described the cover as having a “dainty reggae beat” but called it “uninspiring pop” and suggested its success would depend on the music video.
