State Bridge (Eagle County, Colorado)
State Bridge in Eagle County, Colorado, along Colorado State Highway 131, was a two-span Howe-truss bridge built in 1890 by the Missouri Valley Bridge Company. It was one of the earliest bridges designed for the Colorado State Engineer and, in 1983, the oldest surviving example of its type in the state. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 24, 1985 (NRHP reference number 85001401) as part of the Vehicular Bridges in Colorado Thematic Resource. By the time of listing, only one of its two spans remained; the second span has since been lost, leaving ruins of the structure.
