Il Gaucho, released internationally as The Gaucho, is a 1964 Italian comedy film directed by Dino Risi. It was co-produced with Clemente Lococo, an Argentinian production company, and in Argentina it was released as Un italiano en la Argentina. The film stars Vittorio Gassman, with Nino Manfredi in a role that earned him the Grolla d'oro for Best Actor. The screenplay was written by Ruggero Maccari, Ettore Scola, Tullio Pinelli, and Dino Risi; Mario Cecchi Gori produced it. It runs 116 minutes and is in Italian. The music was composed by Chico Novarro and Armando Trovajoli, and the cinematography was by Alfio Contini.
