Streptomyces stramineus
Streptomyces stramineus is a soil-dwelling bacterium in the genus Streptomyces. Taxonomy: Domain Bacteria; Phylum Actinomycetota; Class Actinomycetes; Order Streptomycetales; Family Streptomycetaceae; Genus Streptomyces; Species Streptomyces stramineus. Binomial name: Streptomyces stramineus, described by Labeda et al. in 1997. Type strains include CIP 105398, DSM 41783, IFO 16131, JCM 10649, NBRC 16131, NRRL 12292. It was isolated from American grassland soil and it produces the antibiotic phleomycin.
