1939 New Hampshire Wildcats football team

The 1939 New Hampshire Wildcats football team represented the University of New Hampshire in the New England Conference during the 1939 college football season. In their third year under head coach George Sauer, the Wildcats went 3–5 overall (1–1 in conference) and were outscored by opponents 126–71. They played their home games at Lewis Field (Lewis Stadium) in Durham, New Hampshire. The team captain was Burton Mitchell, who was inducted into the university’s athletic hall of fame in 1998. The Wildcats were ranked No. 260 in the final Litkenhous Ratings for 1939.
