Hugh Hill (baseball)
Hugh Ellis Hill (July 21, 1879 – September 6, 1958) was an American Major League Baseball outfielder who played two seasons. He played for the Cleveland Naps in 1903 and the St. Louis Cardinals in 1904. He batted left-handed and threw right-handed. Hill debuted on May 1, 1903, and played his last game on October 9, 1904. In his MLB career, he had a .223 batting average, 94 hits, and 4 RBIs. Before 1910, he spent several seasons with the Kansas City Blues of the American Association. He was born in Ringgold, Georgia, and died in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is buried at Spring Hill Cemetery in Charleston, West Virginia.
