Home Movie (2008 film)
Home Movie is a 2008 American found-footage psychological horror film and the directorial debut of actor Christopher Denham. The 76-minute movie stars Adrian Pasdar, Cady McClain, Amber Joy Williams, and Austin Williams. It follows the Poe family in upstate New York as they document their lives on home video. David and Clare Poe want an idyllic home life, but their ten-year-old twins Jack and Emily hide a dark secret. As the parents try to understand what’s happening, they are drawn into a nightmare that may threaten their family’s survival. The score was composed by Ryan Shore.
Produced by William M. Miller and Andrew van den Houten, with cinematography by William M. Miller and editing by John T. Miller, the film premiered at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal in 2008 to favorable reviews. IFC Entertainment acquired U.S. rights for Festival Direct Video On Demand and nationwide DVD distribution, while Anchor Bay Entertainment handled Canada. It was released on July 10, 2008.
