Cuba–Jamaica relations

Cuba–Jamaica relations refer to the cooperation and ties between Cuba and Jamaica. Cuba has an embassy in Kingston, and Jamaica has an embassy in Havana. Both countries are members of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the Non-Aligned Movement. Cuba has helped Jamaica by building schools, including José Martí Technical High School and the G.C. Foster College of Physical Education and Sport. The Fidel Castro Campus of Anchovy High School in Montpelier, St. James, opened in 2015. Cuba also provides free eye-care to Jamaicans. In 2020, Jamaican Senate president Tom Tavares-Finson praised Cuba for giving free eye care to more than 30,000 Jamaicans, sending over 500 teachers to Jamaica, and offering scholarships for Jamaicans to study at Cuban universities.
